Moriah Baptist Bible Church

The Choir

The Moriah Baptist Bible Church choir started with seven members 25 years ago. Its singers are church members who have committed their desire to praise God through singing and are willing to submit to the training of the conductor that God put therein. This ministry testifies that the voice quality does not really matters, in God’s service the heart does!

In 1995, the MBBC Choir joined the search for "Marikina City Theme Song”. They were given the lyrics but composed their own melody for the song “Siyudad Ka Na Bayan Kong Sinta”. By God's grace, the choir won 3rd place in that event.

In 2005, the MBBC Choir were given the privilege to sing with other dazzling choral groups and became a part of the 2nd Coro Cantabile Choral Festival held at UP Diliman. Coro Cantabile, a sub-group of the well renowned Philippine Madrigals, is led by a former Madrigal herself, Ms. Sharon Abesamis.

Currently, the MBBC Choir has been blessed by God with good number of singers. By God’s grace, their album entitled “Come, Christians. Join to Sing” was completed and released in 2004 through the collective effort and cooperation of everybody. Week after week, practice every practice this group aims to improve for the Lord’s glory and praise.

The MBBC Choir conduct concerts from various Baptist churches and outreaches as a mean of evangelization and/or fellowship.
